You might say as the Pastor charts the spiritual direction of the Parish; the local Church Councils oversee the implementation and steering of that direction leading the Parish to achieve its goals. These groups, working in collaboration with one another, provide the necessary balance to our leadership so that all of our major decisions are arrived at prayerfully, faithfully and wisely.
Spiritual and financial excellence must always be maintained if we want to experience all God has in mind for us. The Parish Councils are one of the primary advocates of that excellence. Because of the tremendous importance of the Councils, the members themselves assume a direct personal responsibility to lead the congregation with positive attitudes, responsible financial patterns and a strong spiritual integrity.
This model reflects and continues a historical tradition within the Church. As Jesus called twelve disciples together in the leadership and discipleship of his church the Pastor in collaboration with our Councils continue this tradition of leadership and discipleship here today.
